The Positive Impact of Private Philanthropy

Alex Justin Fritz, Dir. of Dev., Pamplin College of Business, University Development.

The success of Pamplin has been shaped in part through the positive impact of private philanthropy. From the transformative gift reflected in our name, to the numerous professorships, scholarships, and other pledges of support, private giving has been critical in helping Pamplin provide a world-class business education.

With the ongoing decline in funding from the commonwealth, and the ever-increasing cost of educating our students, private giving will be equally critical to our future success. As we endeavor to raise the expectations of our students, our faculty, and our alumni, we must remember the continuing need for financial support to enable investments in improvement.

Realizing new levels of achievement will require new levels of funding. I ask all our alumni and friends to take part in helping invent Pamplin’s future through making a gift to the college.

If you would like to talk about the many exciting initiatives underway in Pamplin, and how you can help, please feel free to reach out to me. With your support, we will build upon our legacy and enhance our reputation as a nationally ranked business school.
