The Center for Global Electronic Commerce at Virginia Tech strives to be an academic leader in electronic business research and education of practical relevance. The Center therefore seeks the input and support of the business community in its efforts.  Corporations and organizations with interests in e-commerce and e-business can support the Center and its mission in various ways.

The funding generated through these sponsorship programs is used to:

  1. Conduct training programs
  2. Create new programs
  3. Operate the Center
  4. Promote faculty research in e-commerce and e-business
  5. Support graduate students and their research in e-commerce and e-business

Special Research Contracts

Corporations wishing to have faculty and/or students involved in researching a particular problem or issue of interest to them in the area of electronic business or electronic commerce can sign a "technical assistance agreement" contract. The findings of this research will become the property of the sponsoring organization.
