MBA Class of 2010 Computer Requirements

All MBA students in the Pamplin College of Business are expected to have a laptop or tablet pc. Intel Macs are acceptable but users will still be expected to have Windows installed. (More Mac Info) Tablets are recommended as they have capabilities beyond a normal laptop and offer excellent in-class notetaking and searching utilities. • Windows XP Professional, sp2 or Tablet PC 2005, or Windows Vista Business, Enterprise or Ultimate Operating System
• Required Student Software Bundles (only available to full-time MBA students).
• Dual core processor
• Memory - 1 GB Ram (2 GB recommended for Vista)
• 80 GB Hard Drive (5400 RPM minimum)
• 64 MB Video Adapter Card (128 MB recommended for Vista)
• DVD+-RW
• 802.11a/g Wireless NIC
• 10BaseT Ethernet Card
• USB Flash Memory Key
• Inkjet or Laser Printer
• Warranty - 2 years parts and labor on-site (damage protection policy strongly recommended)
